1. Information We Collect

Welcome to StayFinder (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, services, or features (collectively, the Service), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

• Information you provide directly: Such as when you sign up for updates, join a mailing list, or otherwise submit your contact information (e.g., name, email address).
• Automatically collected information: Such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data through cookies or similar technologies.
• Information from Vacation Rental Management Companies: If you are a guest of a Vacation Rental Management Company that is a member of StayFinder, we may receive your email address from that company to provide you with StayFinder updates and marketing communications.
• Information from your Google account: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. If you choose to connect Gmail, we access the flight confirmation emails in your inbox as described in Section 2.

2. Google User Data

You can sign in to StayFinder with your Google account and, if you choose, connect your Gmail account. This section explains what Google user data we access and how we handle it.

a. Data We Access

We access only the Google user data we need to provide the Service:

• Basic profile information (your name, email address, and profile picture) when you sign in with Google.
• Flight confirmation emails in your Gmail inbox, if you choose to connect Gmail. This access is read-only: StayFinder cannot send, change, or delete your email.

b. How We Use It

We use Google user data only to:

• Create your StayFinder account and show who is signed in.
• Find your flight confirmations and import your flights.
• Watch your flights for price drops and help you get the savings.
• Provide, maintain, and secure the Service.

We do not use Google user data for:

• Advertising, including targeted, personalized, or retargeted ads.
• Selling, brokering, or reselling data.
• Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
• Developing, improving, or training generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
• Any purpose unrelated to providing the Service.

No one at StayFinder reads your emails unless you ask us to (for example, when you contact support), it is necessary for security, or we are required to by law.

StayFinder's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

c. How We Protect It

• The credentials that give StayFinder access to Gmail are encrypted at rest, and Google user data is encrypted in transit.
• Access to Google user data is limited to the systems and personnel that need it to provide the Service.
• Your emails stay in Gmail. We do not keep copies of them; we keep only the flight details we import.

d. Sharing

We do not sell Google user data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Service and are bound to use it for that purpose alone, when required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, with notice to you.

e. Retention and Deletion

You can disconnect Gmail from your StayFinder account page at any time. When you do, we immediately revoke StayFinder's access with Google and delete our access credentials. You can also remove StayFinder's access in your Google Account settings.

We keep Google user data only as long as we need it to provide the Service or as required by law. To have your Google user data deleted, email us at privacy@stayfi.com. We will delete it within 30 days.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve the Service.
• Send you updates, offers, and marketing communications related to StayFinder.
• Help you discover and compare vacation rental properties and booking options.
• Ensure compliance with legal obligations.

4. Marketing Communications from StayFinder

If the Vacation Rental Management Company associated with the property where you are staying is a participating member of StayFinder, you may receive marketing communications directly from StayFinder in addition to any emails from the Vacation Rental Management Company. These communications may include promotional content about vacation rental properties or travel services.

You may opt out of StayFinder emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in our communications. This opt-out is independent of any communication preferences you may have with your Vacation Rental Management Company.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• With service providers who help us operate and improve StayFinder.
• For legal reasons, if required to comply with applicable laws or to protect our rights.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.

6. Third-Party Websites

StayFinder is a metasearch platform. When you click a link to book a property, you are redirected to a third-party website, typically the Vacation Rental Management Company's own booking platform. StayFinder does not control these websites and is not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at [privacy@stayfi.com].

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

10. Children's Privacy

StayFinder is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, if appropriate, by additional notice.
